About Common Burreed
Common Bur-reed is a herbaceous, native marsh or pond plant. This species prefers more temperate and colder lattitudes and is widely found in eastern North America. The rootstocks and leaves were used by some Native Americans for treatment of chills, chest pains, and abdominal pains.
