This mixture combines our best turf type tall fescue, turf type perennial ryegrass, and Kentucky Bluegrass. It will provide a dense, dark green turf suitable for activities and sports. These fast growing varieties will establish quickly and also repair themselves fast to maintain a lush playing surface. The Sports Turf mixture will require irrigation and fertilization to remain looking its best. The mixture can be planted in early through late spring and again in late summer through mid fall. Supplemental irrigation can extend seeding times and is recommended for germination and early establishment. A starter fertilizer should also be used. Maintain the desired height by mowing.
