About Rough Blazing Star

Rough Blazing Star is a lso known as Tall Blazing Star.  It is a perennial with modest, stiff, erect stalk throuhought mid summer that erupts with lavender blooms on the upper third to half of the plant.  The blooms are an attractant for hummingbirds, goldfinches, and butterflies.  Excellent in dried flower bouquets. The species grows best in mesic to dry prairies in the eastern half of the United States.
