Nebraska Sedge is a cool-season, rhizomatous, perennial occurring in wet and often alkaline soils. It can thrive on drier sites better than other sedges as long as its roots remain wet. This sod-forming native has good palatability for livestock and is extremely valuable for providing forage and cover for waterfowl. Excellent for riparian reclamation.
