About Bluejoint Reedgrass

Bluejoint Reddgrass, also known as Canada Bluejoint, is a tall, erect, cool-season perennial grass found in wet meadows, prairies, and open woodlands.  This grass works best in moist to saturated soils but does not do well in standing water for extended periods of time.  It is extremely hardy and mature plants can survive temperatures from -40 to 105 degrees F, and thick mulch and litter build-up.  Bluejoint has forage value but can tolerate only light to moderate haying or grazing.
