Also known as Smooth Oxeye, False Sunflower is not a true sunflower as its name indicates. It is a long flowering plant with a multitude of yellow daisy-like flowers on stiff stems. This easy to grow flower prefers dry soils and will bloom the first year after planting. Its shorter height makes it useful for roadside seeding and disturbed sites. The perennial flower blooms July through September. One packet contains 8 grams.
