Tussock Sedge is a cool-season, perennial sedge for mesic areas. It thrives in moist to wet soils with access to full sun or partial shade. Works well for wetland restoration and sites that require erosion control. It gets its name from the bushy, tussock-like appearance. It has been associated with a few Lepidoptera species are Bog Lithacondia moth, Black Dash, Appalachian Brown, Eyed Brown, and Mulberry Wing.
