Reed Canarygrass is a perennial, cool season sod-forming grass adapted to areas with poorly-drained soil that may periodically flood. Regions of adaptation include north central states and the west coast from northern California to Washington.

Reed Canarygrass can be aggressive.  Forage quality is best early, before heads appear.
