Green Needlegrass is a native cool-season bunch grass. It can be found in medium to fine textured soils on true and mixed prairies. This plant is well suited for range seedings, re-vegetation, and habitat. It has fast recovery and is palatable to livestock, making it useful in rangeland pasture mixtures in the Great Plains and northern Great Plains.
