About Festulolium

Festulolium is a cross between fescue and ryegrass that produces a hybrid. The fescues contribute qualities such as high dry matter yield, resistance to cold, drought tolerance, and persistence. The ryegrass contributes qualities such as rapid establishment, good spring growth, good digestibility, sugar content, and palatability. Festulolium can be planted for a variety of uses such as pasture, hay, and silage. It is often used in mixes with alfalfa or as a nurse crop.
